T Rex Might Have Been Bigger Then We Estimated
Out of all    the dinosaurs the Tyrannosaurus Rex or T-Rex is the biggest fiercest but now study says that we might have underestimated their size and weight by 30% new measurements, a effort between British and American Paleontologists, were calculated using scans of the actual skeletons of five T-Rex bones and are therefore deemed to be more accurate than the previous estimated numbers, which were based on models. The research started in Chicago`s Field Museum of Natural History where residence sue the largest, most complete and most preserved T-Rex fossil ever found. The city's police department was able to scan the T-Rex`s body using forensic scanners, sue's skull, which measures a whopping 3.3 feet across and 5 feet long, was too big for normal scanners. The scientists took it for a little field trip, to a nearby Ford Car manufacturing plant where it was scanned using a machine, normally used for engines. Once similar scans had been done on all five T-Rex skeleton remains, the team put on digital skins so that they could estimate the body volume more accurate. In order to get it as close to the real measurement as possible, they also took apart each body part like the legs, tail arms, etc and digital skin-wrapped them. Then, they added in estimates for the missing body parts like lungs, hearts, brains, etc. Since then they had no idea how much fat each T-Rex carried when they lived they modeled two different weights one with skin sticking to the remains, the other, with more fat between the two layers. This gave them a lower and higher weight estimate. They discovered all T-Rex`s were much bigger and weighed more than they had originally been estimated at. However, the biggest surprise was the sue! The original estimates put T-Rex`s somewhere between 4.5 - 6.0 tons. New estimates A grand total of 9 tons or about 18,000 pounds - And that was the minimum weight for a T-Rex!

Thoughts: I thought that was very interesting because I never knew a real T-Rex`s size and weight.

Poland’s strange curved trees
If you take a walk in the pine forest of northwest Poland you’ll fell like your in the forbidden forest from Harry Potter thanks to the 400 eerie trees. The strange part is the pine trees surrounding a tiny area its nickname is 'Crooked Forest' are all straight- Just the way they are supposed to be. So how did these specimens turn out so cool-looking? Nobody exactly knows why the trees are shaped like that, professionally lumberjacks say the curvy trees can’t be used for furniture, boat hulls because it is curvy then straight so it’s not useful.
Thoughts: I thought this was cool because the curved trees are unordinary and rare because it bends then straightens to a 90° angle so I thought that was cool.

WWII Cargo Ship
On September 26 some people found a WWII shipwreck containing about 200 tons of silver and maybe more undiscovered treasure the ship was a British cargo ship called the SS Gairsoppa witch was heading to Kolkota, India with silver, iron, and tea until  the captain realized that they were almost out of gas so they when to go to Galway, Ireland when they got hit by a Nazi submarine called U101 32 of 85 members of the crew got on lifeboats only one Second Officer Richard Ayres survived and made it to the coast live the reason it took so long to find is because divers cant dive that deep only machines can dive 4,700 meters deep.

WINTER’S  STORY
In December 2005 a fisherman found a dolphin tangled in the ropes of a crab trap. Fighting to free herself, the dolphin had serious injuries, like deep cuts on her mouth and tongue. The net cut off the blood to her flukes (tail fins). A team of scientists rescued her from the crab net but they could not save her tail fins peduncle (the joint that connects the tail fins to the upper body). Without the baby’s tail fins she would be limited to her ability to move so she would be a easy target for prey. Scientists took her to the clear water Aquarium, a small place on Florida’s west coast. About 150,000 people go there a year as the aquarium holds stingrays, sea turtles, river otters, etc. At the aquarium, a team of more than 150 vets nursed her, who named Winter, back to health. After a while Winter was wiggling her way around the water. The little dolphin propelled herself in a side to side motion like a shark or alligator moves soon she moved a third of a speed of a dolphin. Scientists worried that the way Winter was swimming would injure Winters spine because the way she was bending her body in a unnatural way for dolphins. So she got given regular thermo grams. A thermo gram is a body scan that is sensitive to thermo radiation –radiation emitted by a warm body- and can detect abnormities in bones, nerves, muscles, and blood vessels. Winters vets knew Japanese scientists who had fitted fitted Fuji an elderly dolphin with an artificial tail fin a few years ago. However Fuji‘s tail was only partly intact. Kevin Corroll, a vice president at hanger orthopedic says trying to fit Winter was hard it took three months. Corroll checks Winter artificial tail every three months because Winter is growing bigger and her body is changing all the time.
